As the Organizer of the Sacramento Jam Session Group , allow me to extend our Welcome to you!! *There is a wait list for potential members, dependent on the instrument you play, skill level, location, etc. By design, we are a small group, read below. We always have an abundance of guitar players- so we add to our group in "proportions." This means we have X number of drummers and Y number of bass players for Z number of guitar players, etc. Now and then, we could use "singer only" members. If …

This is an acoustic jam in a private home; for this reason we have chosen to keep this meet-up "private". You can click on the "Join" link above if you would like to join us and participate in our jam. At this time we are maxed out on beginner-to-intermediate guitarists and are only accepting people who can play advanced or lead guitar, or play instruments other than guitar as we need more diversity of instruments and more folks able to play leads. If you play mandolin, fiddle, banjo, dobro, tru …

Whether you have been playing guitar for 10 years or 10 minutes I want this Group to share some cool moves, great tunes and explore the variety and needless mystery of one of the most popular musical styles ever. Acoustic, Electric, Slide or something else, what is The Blues to you? And along the way we want to encourage the more important goal of having fun playing music at whatever level we happen to be at and to share that experience with others. Taking the intuitive patterns and habits that …
Where beginner's to intermediates meet up to help each other learn how to play the guitar. Whether it's playing that impossible rhythm in your favorite song or needing to practice playing in front of other people. Statistically speaking eventually there will be someone who can help you for anything. Meet music lovers, go to concerts, play in front of a campfire and just enjoy music. So if any of that sounds fun, make sure to meet up with us!

Our original Organizer, Rich, wrote the note below and I chose to leave it for awhile. I am trying to keep his vision in mind for this group because I know he loves the outdoors, loves life and certainly loves music. It's all good: "Let me tell you a story: I have virtually no musical ability, however that doesn't stop me from self- learning and trying to improve as I enjoy music and the joy that music brings to people. I've always wanted to be proficient enough to jam along with friends and so …
