The Greenwich Acoustic Music Circle (GAMC) is a group for anyone who plays, or is getting back into playing, an acoustic instrument or who simply loves to sing and would like to play music with others. It's great for people who play guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukelele, etc. We welcome beginners to advanced players. We go around in a circle and every person has an opportunity to lead, suggest or request at least one song. It is really helpful if you can bring about 10-15 copies of the song you would …

Get together with other like-minded musicians, any level. Meet and perform together on all types of acoustic music; roots, traditional, folk, bluegrass, old-timey, Americana, whatever songs the group brings for the night. Mostly, its to have fun and play in a relaxed atmosphere.

The oldtime slow jam will take place every second and fourth Sunday @ Brooklyn Rod & Gun Club. This is a group of musicians, singers, songwriters that get together in a variety of settings to jam acoustic, electric, write music, exchange ideas, learn from one another and just have fun. All levels welcome.

Jersey Jam is a friendly low key open jam format for all levels of singers and musicians. We meet at the Robin's Nest in Linden, NJ which is a Blues Club. The majority of the songs performed as a courtesy to the venue are blues based. We go off the reservation though to perform Jazz, R&B, Rock, Funk, and some original material in addition to the blues. Usually each person attending the jam gets to call a 3-4 song set. This group will meet to practice and play Guitar at Happy Hour. It is for beginners, if you are not a beginner you are welcome to participate as long as you don't mind strumming basic chords. we'll play a multitude of songs from beginning to end. It is karaoke for guitar; Guitaraoke! THe guitars have been removed from the tracks, so you'll provide the accompaniment. Fun, fun, fun! There'll be a charge for the events. Thank You!  

Becoming a Muscian is hard. There is a classic catch 22. You want gigs, but to get gigs you need a following and to get a following you need gigs. This group was made to create an artificial following a sort of fake it until you make it approach. With each others support we can get out there, get heard and let the universe decide.

Every Saturday we meet up for a Slow Session where musicians of all instruments are welcome to practice playing Irish traditional tunes in a group setting. Tunes are practiced at a slow pace and players of all levels are welcome to bring sheet music or learn by ear as others play. A list of regular tunes is provided, although everyone is encouraged to introduce tunes they are comfortable playing.
